BCCI confirmed in April that Team India will play three T20Is at Harare Sports
Club. Zimbabwe will then tour India in January 2027 for three ODIs in Kolkata,
Hyderabad and Mumbai.

Here's the lowdown on India's 2026
tour of Zimbabwe:
Format & dates A three-match T20I series, played
entirely at the Harare Sports Club Ground in Harare, from July 23 to 26, 2026.
All three matches are scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM IST. This is a short,
standalone series — India's last T20I tour of Zimbabwe was back in July 2024,
which they won 4-1.
India squad Notably, several
senior/high-profile players who were part of India's ongoing England T20I
series were rested or dropped for this tour — Sanju Samson, Axar Patel,
Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana were among those left out. The squad instead
leans on giving fringe/young players game time:

- Vice-captain: Tilak Varma
- Squad: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma,
Ishan Kishan (wk), Shivam Dube, Suryansh Shedge, Rinku Singh, Harsh Dubey,

Wicketkeeper-batter Prabhsimran
Singh, along with pacers Yash Thakur and Ashok Sharma, received their maiden
senior India call-ups, as did all-rounder Harsh Dubey. Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi
was added to the squad after Varun Chakravarthy was ruled out with a hamstring
injury, and Prince Yadav has stayed back in England for the ODI squad instead
of touring Zimbabwe.
Interestingly, Sanju Samson missed
selection for Zimbabwe despite being part of India's squad for the 2026 Asian
Games in Japan.

Context This tour comes right after India
suffered two consecutive T20I series defeats — a shock loss to Ireland and a
series loss to England — so the Zimbabwe leg is being viewed as a chance to
test bench strength and blood some newer names before bigger assignments.

Also worth noting: Zimbabwe will
tour India in return for three ODIs in January 2027 — their first bilateral
tour of India since 2002.
